When I started working on Elyxr Control Tower, I knew I was stepping into something big. This wasn't just another logistics tool, it was a high-stakes, AI-driven supply chain management platform built to transform how businesses visualize, optimize, and control their global operations. From day one, I was the first designer on this product, shaping its foundation and solving critical UX and technical challenges through design.
As the first designer on this product, I had the responsibility of designing major, business-critical features from the ground up, ensuring they were not only functional but also intuitive for diverse users across the supply chain.
Designing for Complexity, Delivering Simplicity
Supply chain visibility is chaotic. There are multiple stakeholders, from logistics managers and operations teams to shippers and carriers, each with unique needs and workflows. My challenge was to create a cohesive, intuitive experience that could handle multi-tenant configurations, real-time insights, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics while still feeling effortless for users.
I conducted deep user research, speaking directly with business teams, partners, and customers to understand their pain points. Every decision I made was backed by insights from real users, ensuring that complex data was presented with clarity, and workflows remained seamless.
Solving Problems That Matter
One of the most exciting aspects of working on Control Tower was tackling real-world problems. How do you design an interface that allows users to track disruptions before they happen? How do you balance AI-driven recommendations with human decision-making? These were the kind of questions I solved through iterative prototyping, testing, and refinement.
Being part of a one-week hackathon for a faster launch pushed me to design at an intense pace, making data-driven decisions that directly impacted the product’s success. And seeing the real-world adoption, where businesses rely on Control Tower to prevent disruptions and optimize supply chains was incredibly rewarding.
Scaling for the Future
As the product evolved, so did the challenges. I worked on configuring 10+ tenants, each requiring customized solutions based on their supply chain models. This meant adapting the product for different industries, regulations, and operational needs. All while maintaining a consistent, scalable design system.
Control Tower is now one of the biggest revenue-driving products at Elyxr AI, and being part of this journey from the ground up has been a defining experience in my career. This wasn’t just about designing a product, it was about shaping the way supply chains operate on a global scale.
Thanks for making it this far!
If my work sparked ideas or inspired possibilities, I’m always up for a conversation. Big ideas are just a conversation away.
